Working at Aqua-Tots has been a positive experience for me.The management is so kind and does try to work with you if there is any inconvenience. I love my coworkers they are so kind and I've made very good friendships with them. I do think that sometimes it does get unorganized but despite that they do manage to come out with a solution every single time. As well, working on bring more strict with our policies making sure the parents know about those policies, and not letting things slide when it comes to the policies.

Teenagers with no previous experience were getting double the paycheck I had with the same amount of hours. Managers do not care about your well being or pay.

The only reason I enjoyed this job is because of the kids. None of the managers or anyone about being instructor care about you. I would never recommend this job even to my worst enemy. This was absolutely terrible
Great local culture, great environment
I loved working at this location! The GM was an incredibly supportive and understanding boss, and I was allowed to advance in salary and responsibility at a rate that was good for me. It was an incredibly rewarding and beneficial experience. My only complaint was the shift structure. In your shift you aren't given the option of bathroom/snack breaks unless a class doesn't show up or if you have a couple minutes between classes. That part was rough and I think it's definetely something Aqua Tots needs to change. Aside from that complaint, overall it was an amazing job. I made close connections with my coworkers and my kids and overall I would definetely recommend this job to anyone that enjoys kids and is comfortable in the water.

high instructors
The main fault with this swim school is that it is understaffed. Kids get us sick a lot especially during the flu season and there is no way we can ever call off without getting yelled at or given a warning.During the 15 minute break all the staff sneaks off into the back closet to get high and vape, now thats not a safe environment for these kids. when a kid gets sick in the water they rarely do anything about it and makes you and your students continue to swim in the dirty water. the instructors are not lifeguard trained and they talk very badly about most of the kids they teach. bad vibes all around
If you want drama and snobby management
Management is not really there to oversee issues, so they leave it in no one's hands. This makes for an unprofessional look to our parents. However, when they are around, they sure know how to pretend to be helpful. That's until they basically abuse your kindness and make you do ridiculous tasks that are their** job, all the while you're still getting paid minimum wage.

I worked at Aqua tots swim schools for about a year I really liked it everyone was friendly I loved working with the kids but after a while they started to make a new location and that owener went to the other location and left the location I was at under the hands of two people that were in their 20s and to me I believe that they were not good people and they didn't treat everyone fairly, I did not like working for them so I decided to leave.
Fun Job
If you like working with kids and have a knowledge of swimming, then this is a great job. Salary is a great advantage to this job and has opportunities of moving higher up.
Great Business, Disappointing Management
Aqua Tots is a wonderful business and an even better place to work. I love my families and the friends I have made while at work. With that being said, at the particular location I was at, drama was nonstop and so stressful to deal with. It made work completely unbearable. With that being said, management are great as individuals, but struggle as an actual management team. With lack of communication and disrespect toward one another, as well as the employees, management is horrible to deal with. If you cannot make a shift due to sickness, family emergency, even something completely out of your control, you get all of your shifts taken away until you earn them back.

Really fun and the kids are amazing. They are on track for everything and if you need help they're always there. I really enjoyed being a swim instructor and seeing the kids happy when they passed a level.

I learned a lot of patience at this job. The kids we work with are great. The staff overall is pretty nice. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the kids progress.

It was a very fun job and the people were amazing.
Aqua-Tots was my first real job and I loved it. I was really sad when I had to leave because you build great relationships with your co-workers, children, and parents. It was a very fast-paced job and would not give you time to rest or breathe but the shifts were short averaging about four hours. I really miss working at Aqua-Tots because of the people and the environment.
Wonderful work place
Aqua Tots is an amazing job to have especially in high school. This was the best job ever loved everyone that worked there. They were my second family.

This is a great environment to work in if you love kids, however it involves no benefits and requires you to go the extra mile unlike most part time jobs.

The owner and managers are super helpful. The children and parents are understanding and friendly. Coworkers are very fun and love what they do. Safety is key.
Productive and fun work place
I absolutely love Aqua Tots. Every week is a consistent schedule doing the same routine every shift. My first priority of my shift is all our cleaning tasks. After that is all done, I coach kids/adults our strict and safe swim curriculum depending on the person's age and skill level. When coaching kids ages 3 - 16, we're required to give feedback to the parents after each lesson. At the end of each night we are required to fill out cards for each of the kids we have had that day. There's usually around 8-10 classes a day. The management is the best management I've ever worked for. I have two bosses who are both very open minded and caring. The kids are the best and worst part of the job. Sometimes, kids can be a lot to handle, but they make me laugh just as much as I make them laugh. Their smiles make my day and knowing I'm changing their lives makes it even better.
Fun for students, impractical for long term employment
Working with kids is great. Teaching them how to swim is fun. This is a fun job at first, especially if you only need part time work. But it's long, abnormal hours without a bathroom break. You're required to be at full enthusiasm levels 110% of the time. Getting time off is a nightmare. Minimal pay. No benefits. Terrible management. Kiss your personal life goodbye.

Nice place to work at SHORT TERM
Although the job can be a very nice environment, I would say that it isn't something to do if you're looking for hours. It is impossible to work that long in the water without physical conditions.
